I was going to do a story-of-my-life bio, but then i realized no one really reads those, they can be super boring, and frankly, they are painful to write. So instead, here is the story of who I am in four quotes from a few of my biggest inspirations.

I started out as an editor, and it comes in really handy still. Not only to cut a quick rip together or to do social edits or something just for fun, but to have developed the foresight to see how the project will cut together as you go is one of the skills that sets me apart in this job.

This job satisfies so much of what makes me tick. The creative challenge of telling a compelling story, the logistical challenge of getting it done in time and on budget. The culinary challenge of figuring out where to go for dinner. It’s all there.

I’m just as comfortable shooting content on my cell phone on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere as I am sitting in a director’s chair in Hollywood telling Bob Richardson he messed up the shot.

I see every project as an opportunity both to sharpen my skills and learn something new. It’s not about just getting something done. It’s about making the project, and myself, more exceptional in the process, every time. I am passionate both for life and this job, and insist on getting better at both every day.
